Trademarks play an important role in growing open source projects and their developer and user communities. In this session, Daniel Scales will cover some basic trademark concepts from the perspective of an open source project, some common pain points and ways to avoid them, and some best practices. He will also discuss how others in a project's community can work to both strengthen the project and its trademarks and build value for their own organization.
