Open source software has its well-known benefits, ranging from transparency, reliability, security, and its merit-based code; to factors such as cost-effectiveness and faster time to the market. Open source projects are in fact powered by communities, and without a well-established, fully supported, interactive community, they wither away. As an LF AI & Data Incubating Project, Flyte recognizes the importance of its contributors, and is constantly taking steps to build and grow its community. In this presentation, we will share with you Flyte’s evolving experience working with its open source community, tips of what worked and what didn’t, and how you can figure out what works best for your project.
